This is Ideal's Collectible Shirley Temple Doll, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. She is twelve inches tall and is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She is made of a high quality hard vinyl and she is mint in her original box.
This doll has been stored in a pristine area, with controlled heat and with no light. Because of this, there is no fading and there are no odors.
The doll still has the hairnet covering her curls, and the curls still have the bobby pins in them. On her head she wears a large straw hat which, I guess, would be typical farm garb. She has very light brown sleep eyes, which function flawlessly. The upper eyelashes are molded and the lower ones are painted. Her facial coloring is very delicate, with light rosy cheeks and lips. She has a nice smile, which shows her famous dimples.
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is wearing a bright red and white print blouse with white lace trim on the edges of the large collar and on the edges of her elbow length sleeves. Over her blouse she wears a dark blue pair of bib overalls, with a pocket sewn on the front and a patch sewn on one leg. The patch matches her blouse. She wears white stockings and black velvet slippers.
Attached to her left arm is a booklet which has pictures of all of the Shirley Temple Dolls which came out in this series. The date on this booklet is 1983. The booklet says she was made by Ideal, is a Shirley Temple Doll, and is part of the Collector's Doll Series.
On the bottom edge of the box it reads: 1982 CBS Toys, A Division of CBS Inc., Newark, JJ 07105. Printed in Canada.
This doll would make a very nice addition to your doll collection or would make a nice gift.
